Lance Sumrall


Lance Sumrall joined the firm in April 2015 after receiving his law degree from Texas Tech School of Law and passing the Texas bar exam.  Lance attended Wayland Baptist University and received a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Justice Administration while working as a telephone and network field technician. Lance spent 7 years working in the telecommunications industry, 5 of which were spent with a telephone cooperative in New Mexico.  Lance’s background has served him well in the Firm’s work with its telephone and electric cooperatives.


Lance practices in the areas real estate, estate planning, probate, banking, business entities, and commercial transactions.  Lance is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of New Mexico.  Lance has been admitted to practice in the courts of the State of Texas, the courts of the State of New Mexico, and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas.


Lance was raised in the rural farming and ranching community of Grady, New Mexico and married his wife Nikki in 2008. Lance and Nikki moved to Lubbock in 2010 and have three boys.
